Brizlincote Womens Institute
Brizlincote Women’s Institute invites women of all ages to attend their meetings to socialize and make new friends. They enjoy interesting experiences through educational talks, outings and get-togethers.
The WI meet at Violet Way Academy on the 2nd Monday of each month, at 7.30PM.

Burton 16th (Stapenhill) Scout Group
The Burton 16th (Stapenhill) Scout Group welcomes young people from the age of 5, up until 14 years old.
The Group is a registered charity, and has it’s own headquarters, The Albury Hut off Stapenhill Road, surrounded in woodland.
You can join the Beaver Scout Group in the 3 months leading up to your 6th birthday, and they meet every Thursday (school term time only) from 6.15pm until 7.30pm. The Beaver Scout programme is full of fun and activities, guided by the badge scheme, so their is always something new to learn and enjoy. The Cub Scout Group begins when you reach 7 and a half years old. The Cub Scouts meet every Monday evening (school term time only) from 6.15pm until 7.30pm. They take part in a variety of fun and educational activities, including climbing, canoeing, hiking, crafts, camping, cooking on open fires, and so much more! Last but not least, from the age of 10 years and 6 months old, you can attend our Scout Group meetings, held on Friday evenings from 7.00pm until 9.00pm (school term times only). The Scout Group has a varied range of activities to take part in; climbing, canoeing, archery, camping, backwoods cooking, camp cooking, hiking, rifle shooting, pioneering, tracking, games nights, there is always a new challenge to experience. Little Buttercups Toddler Group
Little Buttercups Toddler Group is held every Tuesday from 9am-10.30am at Violet Way Academy during school term-time. We do crafts, singing time and play. Contact Joanne Smith via the Violet Way office. No need to book just turn up.
We welcome all pre-school aged children, along with their parents/grandparents/carers.
It’s £1.50 a week, with extra children 50p each. Fruit and squash are included for the children, and hot drinks and toast available to buy from the kitchen.
Shorties Baby Group
Shorties is open to anyone who has, or cares for children under one year old. Come along and enjoy refreshments and chat to other parents and carers while the little ones enjoy the toys and playmats that we provide.
It takes place on a Friday morning at Immanuel Church, Hawthorn Crescent, Stapenhill, DE15 9QW at 10.30am – 12.00pm.
There is no charge to attend, although there is the opportunity (but absolutely no pressure) to leave a donation if you would like to. Any money received will be reinvested into Shorties.
