Advance warning of local roadworks
Important information about disruption on A444 (St Peter’s St and Stanton Road) and through Brizlincote Valley:
1. Works continue under two way temporary traffic lights fixing potholes on the A444 until around week commencing 19th July when, weather permitting, the A444 will be closed under a rolling road block for two days for surfacing dressing. The surfacing can only be done when dry so exact timings of the closure will only be known closer to the time. Access will vary depending on where the works are taking place.
2. Works to the Grafton Road/Violet Way/Beaufort Road junction to introduce a raised table and narrow the road to reduce speeds will commence on 12th July, but under three way traffic lights until the 26th July, when the road will be shut over the summer holidays until 31st August when three way traffic lights will be in place until 3rd September. Vehicular access will be dependent on which side of the junction you live and Grafton Road residents and those in the relevant cul-de-sacs will have access via the northern junction on to Beaufort Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Info on bus routes throughout the works will be shared when available.
There will be inevitable disruption during these works and we thank you advance for everyone’s patience through the summer holiday period.
Notices have gone up in the area and letters will be distributed to households nearby.
