East Side Art Competition 2019

Brizlincote Parish Council supported by Stapenhill Parish Council are delighted to announce
the winners of the East Side Arts Competition 2019!
Entries were displayed at the Brewhouse earlier in the year before judging took place on
Saturday 1 st February.
This year the Arts’ competition included a new Photographic category along with defined
key stage categories in our Junior school section.
Congratulations to our 1 st prize entries for each category. These were:
Junior school Key Stage 1: Faith Coltman (Tower View Junior School)
Junior school Key Stage 2: Melody Merrick (Tower View Junior School)
Senior school: Isabella Anderson (Paulet Senior School)
Photographic entries: Harrison Carter (Burton PRU School)

Many thanks to the Mayor and Mayoress of Burton-on-Trent (Mr. Colin Wileman and Mrs.
Jean Hiatt) for judging our entries followed by a presentation to the winners from each
category with a 1 st Prize certificate and a £30 voucher.
A Highly Commended certificate in addition to a £5 award was also presented to each of the
remaining 26 artists who had their work exhibited at the Brewhouse.
We would also like to say a big thank you to” Phat Magic” who entertained with close up
table magic, tricks and jokes and who were kind enough to donate their time during judging.
