East Side Art Competition 2020 Winners

Brizlincote Parish Council are pleased to announce that the East Side Art Competition 2020 was a huge success, despite the challenges the schools faced during the uncertainty of the pandemic.  Pupils from Paulet, Robert Sutton, Violet Way, Edge Hill, Tower View and Holy Rosary took part.  Over 200 entries were submitted and we were overwhelmed by the standard of artworks produced.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place we could not hold our public judging event as we have in previous years.  However, the Mayor and Mayoress attended a private viewing of all the artworks and selected worthy winners from the entries.  The judging categories were broken down into Key Stages as in previous years, and winners selected from each of these.  Prizes were delivered to the schools who then presented winners with their prizes ; each pupil who entered received certificates in recognition of their efforts.  The artworks will be included in the Parish Council’s time capsule, planned for completion next year.
